We're seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join our Synthetic Biology team on a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record performing AAV and/or lentiviral vector stable producer cell line development in an industry setting. They will be a key contributor to our team, participating in the creation of stable producer cell lines for AAV and/or lentiviral vector therapeutics and research projects to improve our cell line development workflows. They will also work closely with Asimov’s synthetic biology and process development teams. This is a unique opportunity to work at a nimble, forward-thinking synthetic biology startup and help build the future of biological engineering.

About the Role:

Perform AAV and/or lentiviral vector stable producer cell line development processes including transfection, cloning, characterization, and cell banking using state-of-the-art equipment
Perform biological assays including ddPCR, ELISA, and flow cytometry
Support innovation through development of novel workflows and applications
Support research projects to develop viral vector therapeutics with enhanced quality attributes such as empty/full ratio, potency and/or cell targeting

We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Cell Line Development team on a 6 month contract to help push the boundaries of biotherapeutic cell line development. In this role, you will conduct CHO-based cell line engineering and screening to produce human therapeutics. In addition, you will execute synthetic biology studies and new technology evaluations to continuously innovate our workflows and expression platform. This is a unique opportunity to work at a nimble, forward-thinking synthetic biology startup and help build the future of biological engineering.
About the role
- Perform CHO cell line development processes including transfection, cloning, characterization, and cell banking using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Complete comprehensive documentation of studies in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
- Work with scientists to optimize workflows across clone screening, transfection, small-scale assays, and product quality assessment.
- Contribute to innovation focused on the development of novel cell line development workflows and applications.
- This role will begin as a full-time, 6 month contract. Dependent on business needs, there is potential for the contract to be extended or converted into a permanent position.

We are seeking a Principal Scientist to join our Biologics Cell Line Development team in Boston, MA and help push the boundaries of biotherapeutic cell line development. This role is for a scientific innovator and a manager of junior scientists. The successful candidate will conduct & supervise CHO-based cell line development for biologic therapeutics moving into clinical development. Significant effort designing complex experimental approaches to improve expression systems and workflows through innovation and implementation of new technology is also an important part of this role.
The successful candidate will also work cross-functionally with Asimov’s synthetic biology, modeling, process development and analytical teams. This is a unique opportunity to work at a nimble, forward-thinking synthetic biology startup and help build the future of biological engineering.

  The Associate Director, Strategic Alliance (Genetic Medicine) will play a pivotal role in supporting the deployment of our AAV Edge, RNA Edge, and LV Edge technologies in customer sites and delivering on cell line development (CLD) service campaigns for our customers. Asimov’s LV Edge and AAV Edge technologies represent a fundamental shift in genetic medicines, moving the industry beyond the limitations of transient transfection by combining genetic design with high-performance, stable producer cell lines, to achieve higher, more consistent viral titers. This role involves building and nurturing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, technology providers, academic institutions, and other strategic partners.

  - Provide expert technical guidance on tech-out evaluation design, CLD planning, scale-up, optimization, and troubleshooting for various biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes (e.g., mammalian cell culture, purification, analytical methods, and viral vector production).
